Some people have gotten out of the habit of meeting for worship, but we must not do that. We should keep on encuoraging each other, especially since you know that the day of the Lord's coming is getting closer.(contemporary english)

--besides it makes Alan sad when you're not there.

Here at the FBC youth ministry we like to get together and have a good time. We are working at living life together, and desire to be united as we strive to follow the paths God lays out before us.

We offer many different opportunities to our students, such as:

BIG AL'S BLOG
Psalm 133:1&2 says Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, Coming down upon the beard.

Ask yourself if you think people in bible times got to take a shower every day? I don't know about u all but one of the things i look forward to most is that shower in the morning, it is refreshing, it allows me to wake up and b better ready for a day. If I miss that shower I tend to spend that day feeling tired, feeling sluggish, feeling unprepared for what may come. I spend my day wondering if I stink and if it bothers others around me. But that concern is not there if I have my shower.
Our Christian life in much the same way needs to be refreshened, reenergized, and I believe that is what David is telling us here it is good for our spirits to dwell together in unity, it provides us with refreshment and new strength, energy, and courage to do the will of our God.

1 Corinthians 12:12-14
For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. For the body is not one member but many.

We are all members of the body of believers. There seems to be a belief out there that it is not important for u to b at youth group, I wish to tell u all that, your presence in our group is important, in fact as we look into God's word together if we do not have your input we are missing what God has given u to share with the rest of us, as well as u missing out on hearing what God has to say to you through your brothers and sisters. So i encourage you to make being a consistent part of our youth group a priority.

In God's Love and Service
